Repetitive Strain Injury
Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI) is a broad term to describe pain in the muscles, nerves and tendons that are caused by repetitive movement/activity and overuse. These injuries are common in office workers and manual workers, where they have to do repetitive tasks like typing without adequate break time or proper posture. Physiotherapists are experts at treating RSIs like carpal tunnel syndrome and tennis elbow. We will help you to identify the activity or task that is causing your injury, and then help you to modify your work environment so it is more ergonomic and posture-friendly. Most importantly, our physiotherapist will use acupuncture to help your manage your pain and relax your muscles. Early intervention usually result in a positive outcome and our physiotherapist will teach you strengthening and stretching exercises so you can prevent the same injury from happening again.
